Happy Andrew

It has been a month since I posted last so I will bring you up to date. In the middle of February we took a long road trip to visit Kristin’s parents in San Diego. Last time we visited there was when Andrew was 2 years old. We went to Legoland on my birthday and had a great time. Andrew seemed to enjoy it more than last time since he was older and could go on more rides. He had a cough that got much worse over the next couple days. Kristin and I also got sick so we just relaxed and got lots of rest. We ended up staying longer since we did not want to travel while we were still sick. When we did head back home we took hiway 1 and 101 instead of I-5. It took much longer but we had a great view along the way. After the first day of driving we stopped at a Westin in Napa Valley. It was a very nice place and we got a great nights sleep. The next day we headed out to the Jelly Belly factory since it was not far from the hotel. We sampled jelly beans and picked up a bunch of belly flops. We didn’t take the tour since Molly was in the car and we did not want to leave her that long. We headed back up the coast towards home. It was rainy again so the drive was not so great but still a nice view. We stopped at a hotel after the drive since we still had a long way to get home. The next day was an easy drive and we made it home just after noon. We were all tired after our long trip so we relaxed the rest of the day. The next day Andrew went back to school and had a very good day. The rest of the week we unpacked and did lots of laundry and some cleaning up around the house. Overall we had a good vacation but being sick was not so good. Good night and thanks for reading.

Today was a great sunny and warm day so after school we decided to go out and play. First we went to on a nice long walk in the park. After the park we went to a nearby playground so Andrew could play on a slide. He really wanted to go on a slide so he was happy to find one. Andrew started getting very tired so we headed back home. It was great to get out as a family and have fun. We even brought Molly along. After dinner we just relaxed after a long busy day. Good night little Andrew.

We have been very busy lately painting most of our house. Kristin’s parents came down to help us do the work. I was mostly on Andrew watch and ran errands when they needed supplies. It was a lot of work but it looks great now. Andrew and Molly both got paint on them but they cleaned up just fine. Well I just want to post a quick update and I will post more on my next blog entry. Today I found out I won a photo contest. It was a picture I took on a cruise last fall. Andrew is doing great and enjoys all his presents. We went to a model train show last weekend and had a very nice time. We took the light rail downtown and then took the Monorail from downtown to Seattle Center. Andrew loved the trip and so did I. Monday was a holiday so Andrew had no school. We went to the park to play since it was such a nice day (60 degrees). Molly was not real happy though since there were lots of big dogs off leash there. Overall we are doing well and Andrew is doing much better at school. Good night everyone.

Today is Andrew’s birthday so this morning we all went to his preschool for a little celebration during his school day. He was very shy but did a great good anyways. We brought some yummy cupcakes and we even got to take some home at the end of the day. After we picked up Andrew we asked him where he wanted to go for lunch. He told us he wanted to go to the train place for lunch (Ruby’s) and so we went. Andrew had a nice lunch and then we went home. At home Andrew had presents to open so he ripped in to them right away. He got lots of cool stuff to play with. Thanks everyone. Later Andrew got to watch the cartoons that he likes. It started getting late so we got Andrew ready for bed and read some books to him. Andrew had a very good day and he is now four years old. Good night little birthday boy.

We had a busy holidays and it is nice to relax after the busy days we have had. We went to a model train show on Monday and had a very nice time. Andrew really liked all the train although we thought there was going to be a Lego train. Good night.

Today we took Andrew to see Santa. He did not really want to see him and last he we tried but he did not do it. This year we wanted to try again and Santa was able to get him over with a candy cane and then hold him long enough to get a couple pictures of them. We picked out a good pic and then we walked around the mall. It was a good day and we were lucky to get a picture of Andrew with Santa. Good night.

Last weekend we took Andrew to see a play. It was the play If you give a mouse a cookie. He enjoyed it a lot and so did Kristin and I. We also bought a new washer and dryer since ours had failed. Sears came out to install them on Tuesday and they work great. Andrew is doing great and we are all well now. We also put up Christmas light and a tree. Kristin bought some fancy lights that blink in patterns and they look cool. Phil and Adele wrapped a couple presents and put them under the tree but Andrew found them quickly and opened them. I guess we will have to wait to put more presents under the tree. Monday night Kristin and I went to her company dinner and had a very nice meal. Phil and Adele watched Andrew while we were out. It was nice to meet Kristin’s coworkers over dinner. Well I am tried and need some rest. Good night.

Today Andrew went back to school after being out for many days. He had lots of fun since they had someone bring a bunch of bugs to show the kids. After school Andrew and I played until Kristin came home. She came home late and we had dinner right away. After dinner we just relaxed until bedtime. It is nice that Andrew is back in school and that he enjoys it. Good night little Andrew.
